Dr. Robert S. Heidt
Dr. Robert S. Heidt has practiced orthopaedic medicine with Wellington Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine since 1982, where he also directs the physical therapy program. He has served as Chief of Staff at Christ Hospital as well as assistant volunteer professor at the University Of Cincinnati College Of Medicine. Dr. Heidt served as the Cincinnati Bengals team physician for 27 years and is a past president of the NFL Physicians Society. Twenty-seven years in the NFL is a notable accomplishment and in 2010, Dr. Heidt was awarded the distinctive Jerry “Hawk” Rhea Award (voted on by his peers) for excellence in the NFL. Education and community outreach continue to be his passion. Dr. Heidt has directed the Sports Medicine fellowship program and has trained over 60 physicians from around the country. Helping to co-ordinate the educational and service opportunities for therapists, trainers, coaches, parents and athletes has been a labor of love. Personal involvement in the community with charities, religious and scholastic organizations, including St. Xavier High School has been an important part of his life. Dr. Heidt is an original investor in CBank and also serves on the Xavier University Board of Trustees.
